Conceptual brand for the City of Philadelphia that inspires optimism and, perhaps, lifts the city in a moment of desperation
Love Things Philly celebrates Philly’s unique identity—its people, culture, history, and iconic landmarks. I designed the brand to inspire optimism and pride, especially during the tough times the city has faced. To capture Philly’s grit and brotherly love vibe, I created a logo that balances the city's ruggedness with its strong, resilient spirit.
Creative Process
The Love Things Philly brand's purpose is similar to the iconic "I Love New York" brand, which has become a symbol of pride for New Yorkers and tourists alike. Both brands aim to promote their cities as unique and inspiring, creating a sense of happiness, unity and loyalty among its residents.​​​​​​​
I explored various design ideas to capture Philadelphia’s identity, initially considering "Good Things Philly" before choosing "Love Things Philly" to better reflect the city's spirit of brotherly love and community.
